Cubitus varus, also known as “gunstock deformity,” is a condition in which the forearm angles inward toward the body when the elbow is extended. This inward angulation results in a decreased carrying angle and may cause functional limitations or cosmetic concerns.

It commonly occurs as a complication of improperly healed supracondylar fractures of the humerus, particularly in children. Management may include functional bracing and physiotherapy to improve range of motion and strength. In severe cases, corrective osteotomy with fixation using plates, screws, or K-wires may be required.
