Guardian of Neck Mobility

The trapezius, a broad, diamond-shaped muscle originating from the occipital bone, ligamentum nuchae, and spinous processes of C7–T12 vertebrae, inserting on the clavicle, acromion process, and  spine of scapula. It’s divided into three regions—upper, middle, and lower—each with distinct functions like elevating, retracting, and depressing the shoulders, as well as supporting neck movement and stability. Innervated by the spinal accessory nerve (cranial nerve XI), it plays a key role in posture and upper body movement. A flexible, strong trapezius keeps neck pain at bay and mobility intact!
